Title Senior Conference & Special Events Co-ordinator
Job Information

You will need to be highly motivated to work in an environment where exceeding the expectations of our customers is the minimum standard.
Essentially, it will be your job to ensure that memories are created for guests, clients and customers, not only when visiting the hotel or planning a meeting/event but also during their entire time with us. While guests will notice the surroundings of the hotel, it is the personal interactions they will remember and this is at the centre of this role.
As Senior Conference & Events Co-ordinator, you will assist the Conference & Events Sales Manager in the date to date running of the sales office. You will look after email, telephone, typing function sheets, arranging meetings and follow ups after a conference or event had taken place.

Key responsibilities:

 Managing a team with the Sales Manager
 Negotiating rates
 Up-selling more expensive event or conference packages
 Ensuring marketing promotions run at the right time
 Updating and cleansing the database to make sure you’re selling to the right people
 Assisting the C&B Sales Manager with admin and also typing the function sheets

Title Full Time Receptionist – 3 Days & 2 Night per week

We are seeking a talented Receptionist to be part our team.
The Mandolay Hotel, AA 4 Star, 72 bedrooms and 8 state of the art conference rooms with a suite up to 500 guests, Awards/ Accolades: Condé Nast Johansens Guide, Best Loved Hotels, Britain’s Finest, Les Routiers Gold and Investors in People.

Full Time Receptionist – 3 Days and 2 Night per week.
42 Hours per week

• Deliver excellent customer service, at all times
• Assist in keeping the hotel reception area clean and tidy, at all times
• Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail
• Administer all reservations, cancellations and no-shows, in line with company policy
• Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests, on request, while maximising bedroom sales opportunities
• Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety
• Conduct regular security checks throughout the day and report any security issues to line manager
• Report any maintenance issues immediately to line manager, including all furniture, fittings and equipment
• Provide reports, as required, for housekeepers and management
• Be responsible for evacuation, in cases of emergency, acting as first point of contact for guests and the emergency services
• Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and workbooks
• Always adhere to all company policies and procedures and licensing laws
• Be involved and contribute at team meetings
• Carry out instructions given by the management team and head office

As Food and Beverage Assistant you will be involved in all areas of F&B on a day basis, providing an excellent standard of service to our many guests and clients. You must be hands on, work well under pressure and with in a small team.
The ideal candidate will be organised, an excellent communicator and who has attention to detail.
