Sales & Events Co-ordinator

Key responsibilities:

  • Dealing with guests over the telephone
  • Event show arounds
  • Putting conference/ events dates in the diary
  • Negotiating rates
  • Up-selling more expensive event or conference packages
  • Ensuring marketing promotions run at the right time
  • Updating and cleansing the database to make sure you’re selling to the right people
  • Assisting the C&B Sales Manager with admin and also typing the function sheets

The Food and Beverage Supervisor role:

Your area will need to be run effectively at all times ensuring attention to detail and exceptional customer service with subtle selling technique.

All staff within the team will need to be kept up to date with the functions/business of the day, menus, and have comprehensive product knowledge to department standards – this will be your responsibility, as will driving and motivating the members of your team.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor role involves working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, and will be contracted to 45 hours per week.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor will:

  • Need a good command of English.
  • Have experience in a similar customer service role with supervisory skills.
  • Need to have excellent attention to detail and be ‘standards’ driven. You will be extremely well presented.

You must be aware that the hours will involve shift work, weekends and bank holidays.

Conference & Banqueting Assistant

To ensure excellent service delivery in every area of the Conference Centre and Banqueting Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work closely with all members of the service team, setting up conference and event rooms, some lifting is of course involved so you should be physically fit.
  • To ensure that the standards of The Mandolay Hotel are observed at all times and that customers are completely satisfied with their experience.
  • To ensure that guests receive high quality, prompt and attentive service
  • To ensure that all applicable regulations, working practices and health and safety laws are complied with at all times and by every member of the subordinate team
